In early January 2018, Sustainable Australia federal president William Bourke visited South Australia including the federal seat of Mayo which takes in the Adelaide Hills. Party members and supporters gathered in Stirling to plan activies and discuss the potential Mayo by-election, due to dual-citizenship issues surrounding Nick Xenophon's Mayo MP.
