    July Catchup

    Bonjour everybody!

I'm still getting over Bertrand's entertaining speech at our June catch-up. Now I'm looking forward to our next guest speaker, Alison Barry-Jones. Anyone with an ear to local politics will have heard of Alison. Just in case you haven't, Alison is a former Mayor of Maroochy Shire and that's not all! Alison is a recipient of the Order of Australia Medal (1994) and the Australia Day Award (1996). According to Profile magazine, 'Alison has a proven track record of success in initiating and driving some of the Coast's greatest projects'.

In her own words Alison says, "It is my mission to ensure residents of the Sunshine Coast have every opportunity to reach their full potential, developing in a happy, wholesome and sustainable environment '. More recently Alison has been a mayoral candidate for the Sunshine Coast Council and continues to be active in local issues.

In addition, one lucky guest will take home with them one signed copy of Dr. Cameron Murray's book Game of Mates.

    See you there.
    Regards, Richard.

    South Australian Branch Meeting

South Australia division of SAP received over 5000 primary votes in the Federal Election - a great result considering the late decision to stand.

The meeting is about establishing a committee so that we can start campaigning and getting the message out there.

Its great that a number of people have expressed an interest in being on the committee, so we need to establish who is on, and what roles.
