We welcome Sustainable Australia members and supporters to the following event. (Note that from 3-4pm the party "Voter Van" will be parked outside the venue in Oxley St for pickup of how-to-vote cards):

Thank you for agreeing to participate in the Inner South Canberra Community Council's Politics at the Pub candidates forum on 5 May at the Eastlake Football Club.

The current list of candidates attending the forum is:

House of Representatives Candidates (seat of Canberra)

  • Labor – Alicia Payne
  • Greens – Tim Hollo 
  • Australian Progressives - Robert Knight
  • Independent – Tim Bohm

Senate Candidates 

  • Liberal - Robert Gunning
  • Labor - Katy Gallagher, Nancy Waites
  • Greens - Penny Kyburz
  • Sustainable Australia Party - John Haydon
  • Independent – Anthony Pesec, Gary Kent, Nick Houston, Gary Cowton

 

The Master of Ceremonies for the forum will be Press Gallery journalist Malcolm Farr, National Political Editor for news.com.au.

The ISCCC's volunteer event manager, Sonia Owens, will be the contact person for practical arrangements. Below is the run sheet for the afternoon:

3:00 pm Candidates and their running mate/volunteer arrive to set-up individual information tables – (must be packed away by 5:00pm) 

3:30 pm MC Malcolm Farr arrives – meet Marea and Candidates – sound check 

4:00 pm Candidates information session ½ hour – public invited to mingle with candidates

4:30 pm Candidates invited to be seated at head table - Sonia / Malcolm 

4:35 pm Marea Fatseas, Chair, ISCCC Welcome

4:37 pm Malcolm Farr – Commences proceedings

Candidates (number TBC) allowed 2 minutes to give their "pitch"

5:15 pm Public Q & A session with assistance from Malcolm

6:00 pm Formal session with Candidates concludes 

NOTE: Should they choose to do so, Candidates are welcome to stay on and mingle with Club patrons
