Sustainable Australia Party is an independent community movement with a science and evidence-based approach to policy - not left or right ideology or culture wars. We contest a range of federal, state/territory and local government elections.

Affordable Housing Now

To help achieve a fair and sustainable Australia, SAP prioritises the fight for affordable housing now, the sustainable way.

Unlike the Liberals, Nationals, Labor, Greens, One Nation and Teals, SAP tackles all the major supply and demand-side issues to sustainably solve the housing crisis, stop over-development, and protect our local environments and communities.

SAP's housing plan will deliver:

  • Lower rents
  • No stamp duty
  • Slower migration
  • More social housing

Legislative Assembly (Lower House) candidate

Coogee candidate - Angela Dunnett

Angela holds degrees in science, teaching and a Master of Environment. She has worked as an environmental manager, science teacher and communicator for over 20 years.

Angela grew up in Sydney, and is concerned about the widening inequalities largely caused by Australia's housing crisis.

Angela is concerned about the impact of poor state planning on local communities, including affordable housing, environmental regulation and a backlog of investment in infrastructure such as stormwater. She is also seeing a loss of recreational space and negative impacts on other public infrastructure. 

Angela has seen rents skyrocket in the Eastern Suburbs, which is increasingly unaffordable for the average wage earner. She has seen families and single people leave the suburb due to this cost-of-living pressure, and believes part of the solution is to better regulate short-term rentals.
