To help achieve a fair and sustainable Australia, SAP prioritises the fight for affordable housing now, the sustainable way.

Unlike the Liberals, Nationals, Labor, Greens, One Nation and Teals, SAP tackles all the major supply and demand-side issues to sustainably solve the housing crisis, stop over-development, and protect our local environments and communities.

SAP's housing plan will deliver:

  • Lower rents
  • No stamp duty
  • Slower migration
  • More social housing

Northern Metropolitan Region Lead Candidate - Bert Jessup

For a fair and sustainable Australia

Bert Jessup was born in Footscray and lives in Travancore with his wife, having raised three now-adult children. He has dedicated himself to a lifetime of community service including positions as mayor of the City of Footscray, president of Friends of the Maribyrnong Valley and president of the Lions Club of Footscray. 

Bert is passionate about affordable social housing, particularly for ageing women, as well as better public transport, resource recycling and native flora and fauna ecosystem protection.

With a BA and an MBA, Bert has been a successful small business owner (automotive services), a senior executive (insurance and health sectors), a contracting project manager and an HR consultant.
