Sustainable Australia Party is an independent community movement with a science and evidence-based approach to policy - not a left or right wing ideology. We fight for a fair and sustainable Australia that puts our community and environment first - therefore our health, economy and quality of life.
Dennis Bilic for Prahran
For a fair and sustainable Australia
Dennis Bilic is a lifetime resident of Melbourne, living in the Prahran electorate for the last seven years.
He has a Masters in Strategic Foresight from Swinburne University, providing him with long-term planning skills, an understanding of technological change, and a well-rounded worldview. Dennis also has a Bachelor of Commerce and works as a Senior Operations Manager for a global engineering consultancy.
Dennis holds dear the issues of housing affordability, de-corrupting politics, protecting neighbourhoods from inappropriate overdevelopment, education, a healthy environment, a clean energy transition and improving quality of life for all Australians. Other interests include the guitar (through which he volunteers with friends to play music for residents at nursing homes), history, economics and science. He also enjoys bike rides by the beach and has written a children's book called "Mummy, what does the future hold?", about sustainability and hope for a brighter future.
Key campaign issues and policies
In the 2025 Prahran By-election, Dennis Bilic is fighting for a fair and sustainable Australia that puts our community and environment first.
Our #EnvironmentFirst plan:
Stop corruption (including in politics, planning and development)
Stop overdevelopment (including housing sprawl and inappropriate high-rise)
Stabilise Australia's population size (mainly by returning annual permanent immigration to a normal level of around 70,000pa)
There's much more including the sustainable solutions to Australia's housing affordability crisis including homelessness, primarily by addressing government-engineered hyper-demand.
Dennis is also very concerned about community safety, infrastructure including transport and traffic congestion, and overcrowded schools and sporting and recreational facilities. Another area of concern is empty shops and a struggling retail sector.
