Elections

The next NSW state election is on Saturday 25 March 2023.

The next NSW local government (council) election is on Saturday 12 September 2020.

Sustainable Australia (NSW)

Sustainable Australia is an independent community party from the sensible centre. We believe in an evidence-based approach to policy - not a far left / right ideology.

Sustainable Australia has carefully developed a comprehensive policy platformWithin this platform, we have prioritised four big issues:

These issues are inter-related in a virtuous circle, but our campaigns focus first on better planning to stop overdevelopment.

How?

  • Return real planning power to local communities (including through citizen juries)
  • Deliver new community infrastructure before more housing
  • Reduce population growth pressures by lowering immigration from a record 200,000+ p.a. back to the long term average of 70,000 p.a.

NSW Electoral Commission form

Importantly, the Australian Electoral Commission (covering Federal elections) and the NSW Electoral Commission (covering State elections) are separate bodies and require separate application processes. Yes, frustrating!
