Murray 2023 - Sustainable Australia Party

Legislative Assembly (Lower House)

Murray candidate - Michael Florance

For the past fifty years, I have resided in the small village of Barooga situated in the Southern Riverina by the banks of the beautiful Murray River. Professionally, I have been involved in the operation of a family-owned wholesale nursery business for the last forty years, producing vegetable seedlings for market gardeners in southern NSW and Victoria. Sustainable Australia Party’s policy platform resonates with me by offering carefully considered solutions to the problems of unsustainable urban growth and suburban sprawl, whilst protecting our heritage and local amenity. I have always been passionate about the protection and conservation of our natural environment and am committed to its restoration and better management into the future. Other issues that are of concern to me include the logging of native forests in our National Parks, and water management and allocation in the Murray-Darling Basin. I hope part of my lasting legacy that I leave to my grandchildren will be the simple joy and satisfaction that results from planting one of many native trees and watching it grow to maturity.
