Hi Anne, Thanks for your suggestion. We do find that advertising is out of our reach financially, but that PR in local newspapers etc. when we announce local candidates is realistic. Hopefully we will have a local Wollongong candidate or two in the March state election. SA

I would like to discuss SA media advertising. The major parties would have already booked high profile media space for the upcoming elections, which may be too expensive for SA to think about anyway. However local media may be feasible. To discuss.

    Hi William,

No problem to host a meeting at my office.

Unit 4/27 Princes Highway Dapto. The office is upstairs.

It’s next door to Anytime Fitness and I share it with J. Kopke & Co Accountants so their signage is on the door along with my Mortgage Scope sign.

I’m happy to post my number here in case anyone can’t find us 0438 611 915

    Hi John (Denis),

Andrew tells me the Hellenic Club is no longer open on Sundays. Can you host at your office? If so, please post the address here ASAP and we’ll then send out the local eNewsletter.

7 October it is! Could you email Wollongong members please. I would like to have this meeting to discuss some of the suggestions you have made, what we do in the lead up to the NSW election, what we can do to grow locally, and just to stay in contact with each other.

Hi Denis, 7 October sounds good. Andrew Anthony booked the Helenic Club so may be able to help there. Ideally, we have events that involve spreading the word. For example, meet for a coffee/drink, then letterbox locally in pairs. Another idea is to book a table/stall at a local market that accepts political parties. Of course, this will likely be not on a Sunday afternoon. Thanks, SA

With respect to having a Wollongong meeting, Sorry, with work commitments we’ve com to the proposed weekend and I have not organised anything.
Shall we go with the usual time of the first Sunday of October, 07/10/2018 3pm – 4:30pm? Would the Helenic Club be the best venue? How did we organise that last time?

    Hi Anthony,

Unfortunately the NSW Electoral Commission (due to major party legislation) doesn’t allow us to contest elections under the party name until at least 12 months after registration!! Just another way to prevent minor parties from challenging the majors. But it still might be worthwhile running as an independent. Please discuss at your next meeting.

    Regards, William
