Local Branches - WA

Interested to get involved?

First, review the recent comments in your local branch page (if it exists) to see what is happening. If no local branch page exists, make a 'comment' below on this page and ask for one to be created (noting your LGA area).

The main purpose of branches is to create public-facing events, such as stalls at local community markets and festivals, and contest elections. On an existing page, you can create an event via the relevant branch page 'comments' section.

    Hi Keith
I’m pleased to hear that you have some interest in your local area.
There are a lot of people suffering from election fatigue at the moment so it is great to hear of your interest.

We certainly need to get things in place well before any elections take place.
If you don’t get much reaction down your way, then please feel free to make contact with me. You may or may not get to our meetings up in North Perth but one never knows.
    Colin

    G’day folks.

I’d be interested in any group starting up near the Armadale area (WA).

    Hi Colin
Thanks for your post and comments.
We can see you’re in the City of Vincent (which includes the suburb of North Perth, and is just outside of the City of Perth LGA). Today we’ll set up a ‘Vincent’ LGA branch page and assist you to coordinate that ‘bite-sized’ project if that’s suitable for you.
    Regards,
    William @ SAP

Colin Scott here, previous candidate (House of Representatives) in Perth by election (July 2018) and previous candidate (Senate) May 2019, for the Sustainable Australia Party.
I live in North Perth and have experience in stalls/promotions and have the resources for the same.
I have held plenty of meetings for members’ co-ordination, and most meetings have been in the North Perth area. Promotions have been held around the metro area.
Sustainable Party policies are very very good and these feelings were relayed to me many times during election campaigns.
I can set up a local branch in the North Perth area which is City of Perth but I need help. I cannot chair the meetings, provide secretarial services AND co-ordinate everything that needs to be done.
In the past, some people from outside if City of Perth area have helped and I am absolutely grateful for their help. It has been a true team effort believe me.
So if you are serious about being involved and being part of a newly focused team then you are welcome to get in touch with me. If you live outside the immediate City of Perth area it does not matter to me.
Previous team members are very welcome to come back into the action.
A State Upper House campaign would be a good challenge.

I am in Scarborough and would be interested in getting involved if a branch existed.

    Hi Katharine,

It looks as though you’re in the Stirling LGA, is that correct?

    Thanks,

No branches exist in WA yet. I’m in South Perth (Federal electorate of Swan).
