Legislative Assembly (Lower House)
Canterbury candidate - Joe Sinacori
Joe has spent his lifetime in the Canterbury District. Through his life he has seen both positive and negative changes to the local environment. Joe believes that much more can be done to preserve existing green space from overdevelopment. The 'Unwin Green Street Project' in Earlwood is just one example where locals are fighting to keep green corridors from overdevelopment, in order to retain these small parcels of land and provide a safe habitat for wildlife in the area.
Joe brings with him a lifetime of engineering, technical and governance knowledge gained through working in the Defence Public Service both with the Royal Australian Navy and Royal Australian Air Force. He also has private sector knowledge, through working at Qantas and in the automotive industry. Joe has an obsession to re-build Australian-owned local manufacturing, including sustainable and environmentally friendly repair facilities to create a circular economy.
Joe believes that the current governing system is broken and that to have a true democracy, we need to have a diversity of independent and minor parties in the political system. This is why he represents Sustainable Australia Party, which is fighting to protect our environment, stop overdevelopment and stop corruption. He believes its objectives, core values and the broad policy platform would be the most beneficial to balance and maintain harmony in environmental sustainability and all aspects of our quality of life.
